Catering Business In Scotland-Good Idea?

Hi there,

I have just read your article and am keen to start a catering business in a remote but beautiful part of the west coast of Scotland.(during the week) and do fairs and markets on the weekends. Do you think this is a good idea?
Thanks
Barry

Is There a Market
by: Anonymous

Hi Barry,

Sounds beautiful where you are..
If there is a market for your service and not too many people providing a catering service then it may turn out to be a good business.

Obviously do your home work and make sure that their is a market for your business idea, also do some market research and ask around.See if people want hot/cold/healthy food options in their area, and also keep an eye out for great locations where you can get yourself a permanent pitch.

As you've mentioned you can also cater for fairs, markets and car boot sales, find the pitch first and then go searching for a trailer.

Let me know how it all goes

David
