Hobby Becomes Home Business

My name is Charles Green. I am a 26-year-old college graduate. A couple of my favorite hobbies are disc golfing, surfing the net, playing video games, and collecting sports cards.
Even at my relatively young age, and education level, I have failed to find a job that I can remain at without losing my mind. I have had more jobs than I can remember. One day I had enough, and decided to try and make a living without working. The plan was to turn my hobbies into an income. It really didn’t seem like that crazy of an idea.
After some thought, I decided to attempt to sell things on the Internet. I made this decision because I already had previous experience buying thing from certain sites, and figured selling would be similar. And because I already had a vast inventory of sports cards, video games, and CDs, I choose to concentrate on these items.
Getting started was pretty easy. I was ahead of the game beginning the process with a computer, Internet access, inventory, and computer skills. I did have to find a quality site to use, and set up a seller’s account. This process was not complicated, and things were up and running. Next I had to purchase some shipping supplies and wait for the orders to come rolling in.
There were a few aspects of the process that were more difficult. First of all getting all your accounts set. Getting your accounts verified and linked to other accounts (bank accounts, online payments account, credit cards, and websites). Also, the process of inputting all the information, such as item descriptions, can be very time consuming and tedious work.
It doesn’t take a whole lot to start your own work at home business. It basically just requires some basic equipment, basic computer knowledge, and minimal start up cash. Some personal attributes can also be helpful, such as patience, self-motivation, and the desire to succeed. I would advise anyone with such means to attempt to do it your self.
The entire process can be very rewarding in several ways. It can become very financially rewarding. In just a short time I was able to generate a decent reliable income source. Beyond the cash, it can also be very personally rewarding to be your own boss, working when you choose, and providing for yourself.
