I m Vidhya,
I started my own venture called "Kar bhaji shop & Dosa Corner".
It started with a team of two and now we have grown the business and have a good demand. Especially with the taste of our renowned home made product.
The buisness of "Kar bhaji "is normally a snack business and besides this we have also started making home made dosas, chutneys and sambhar(All south Indian taste) which will be served only in the evenings from 6 pm -9 pm.
Our main target group is the people from Middle income group (office workers)Who we manage to target during lunch time breaks.
The idea behind this started when i was in my 20's my grandfather use to do in his hometown,
but in a different way.During those days he did not have many techniques to attract customers.
But i thought in a different way like giving away a few attractive offers.Like whoever eats for more than 50 rupees(1$)gets a soft drink like pepsi/coke to digest.
The more you buy the more differnt extras you get.By the way it reaches the customers very easily :)
Initailly it was started from very little funds, now we were able to run the shop on our own. At first we got a few machines for hire but now we own them. Initially we didnt make a good income and we had to struggle a lot during holidays.
Because this largely attracts school students and office guys who can come during snack time.Later we thought to deliver those to workplace by getting contracts.
Apart from financial skills and managing the buisness we didn't need any other skills.
Be loyal to the customers and give them good quality food and taste by doing this we managed to attract a lot of people.I also got lot of confidence and i am able to stand on my own 2 feet.
