My Ebay Business

So I finally started my ebay business by listing and inserting my items with a buy it now price and at this point all I could do was wait.

Now I' m not saying over night but in the following weeks quite a few items were sold which was great for me as the more items sold, the more chance for me to increase my feedback score.

Feedback is a way for buyers and sellers to leave positive or negative comments for each other regarding items sold and how they were treated by the seller.This is important as many people do consider feedback as an important indicator before buying from a seller.

My ebay business was a success, and the money made added up to a handy bit of cash each month. Starting my ebay business did prove to me that you can sell almost anything and everything and there is usually a market for it.

Evolving My Ebay Business

With my initial ebay success, I really wanted to try and sell other things.. as It was getting a bit boring packing items, labeling them and then having to post them.So I wondered what other items could be sold that didn't require this long process. The only thing that came to mind was digital products and at this point e-books became my latest items to sell through my ebay business

Selling E-books

What is an e-book? an e-book is the same as a normal book except it's in a digital format (pdf) that you download and read or print and read later.Think about it no postage or packing and delivery is instant Great I'll give it ago, and started selling e-books on ebay which were selling but not as profitable for me as other items being sold. E books were a great addition and their sales and delivery were soon fully automated using some software. Everyone was selling e-books on ebay and there was a lot of competition with some sellers having a better range than me, but I still did okay out of it.

Selling Everything and Anything Including The Bathroom Sink !

This was my best strategy yet for my ebay business something's are just right under your nose. A good profit was made this way minus the ebay and pay pal fees of course, have a look at some of the items below for yourself

A keyboard that I got for free Having no idea what it was worth. So started the auction at £50 and in the end sold for £320	A simple garden blower this had a buy it now price of £25 and within a few days someone had brought it.Cost to me £0 sold for £25 pounds	This massage bench was in great condition and clean. Two weeks later someone finally brought it for £57 pounds,Cost to me £0

These bookshelves these were unwanted items that took a few weeks to sell... because of the size they were advertised for collection only Cost to me £0 sold for £20	Sat Nav software for any Mobile Phone Running Windows 5 this is a great piece of software and as you know stops you getting lost.Cost to me £0 SOLD for £70.	High sleeper double bed with desk below comes complete with all nut and bolts easy to put together and great for areas where space is tight Cost to me £0 SOLD for £60

Various good quality women shoes mostly unworn 9 pairs in total.Seperated them up into pairs and sold them separately for between £10-£17 pounds cost to me £0 Sold for over £100 pounds	Children's bunk beds good condition with safety ladder in clean condition .Unwanted and was ready to be thrown away. Sold as as collection only Cost to me £0 Sold for £78 pounds.	This 21 monitor is big and bulky no one really wants them anymore especially with the new TFT screen but not everyone can afford a TFT screen Cost to me £0 SOLD for £20

As you can see the range of items sold differ enormously some items made me more money than others, but overall a good profit was made.The actual products didn't cost me anything and most of the items would of just simply been thrown away. Finding products to sell for yourself does not have to be difficult or cost you a lot of money.Maybe you could make the products yourself and then sell them on ebay such as arts and crafts, try and offer something unique and useful.

Finally

At the begriming of my ebay business I had no real idea of what would sell and what wouldn't. Choosing to sell a range of products while experimenting and learning at the same time worked best for me.If your unsure of what to sell, why not start by selling something that you have but don't use

A radio, clothing, electrical appliance or unwanted gifts get familiar with the ebay selling process, this way you can see how it all works and you won't be risking too much.The main thing as with any new business is to get started and see where it leads you, as simply taking or thinking about a business will never make you any money you need to take some action.
