No Confidence - But Really Wanted To Earn and Do Well

Hi my name is Smriti, I am married and have a 6 month-old baby. My husband is a businessman and we are doing financially well. I work at home for a cosmetic company where I sell cosmetics to customers through the catalogue provided by the company.

I started this business with no confidence and really wanted to earn and do well for myself and my family. Now I am really confident and believe I can be successful if I work hard for myself. I started this business because I did not wanted to sit idle at home. Additional I wanted to earn my own money, make savings and spend my money the way I want to spend it. I did not want to rely on anyone for finance or be dependent on anyone for money.

The person who motivated me to do this was a widow and my neighbour. When I first started I had a small amount of money saved in my account, basically all the money I owned in the world. But I knew that I would have to withdrew it, as I needed it as an initial investment to start the business.

I knew that until I started earning some profit I had nil bank balance which really scared me. As time went by I started earning small amounts of income which started to grow week by week.
Today there are seven more people under me who joined me in the business - they are also earning a decent income and work hard to make money.

Every business does not require the same skill but for a selling based business like mine, you really need to be bold and confident enough to speak to customers. Any business you start will be risky and a challenge because we're never sure how it will turn out.

But I personally suggest that you follow your heart and get started. The only real thing you need is self-confidence and a drive to want to succeed. Finally be confident that you will achieve something in life and go for it as you never know where it will lead you.
