by S. Siingh
(St Albans)

Hello

My plan/idea is to sell champagne on New years eve
at Embankment(Opp London eye, during fireworks display.
I will be providing disposable glasses, and will clear up any mess afterwards..

Please advice, a legal process to go ahead
i do have a food/ hygiene certificate.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

A Very Creative Idea Indeed
by: Anonymous

Hi I think this is great idea and very creative, I recently took my children to see a firework display - there were many people selling sparklers and luminous products.

They seemed to be very busy, as people were buying these items for their children

But I am not entirely sure if you can sell alcohol to the public so easily without applying for an alcohol license.

To be on the safe side you would need to speak to environmental health officers at Westminster council and ask them what process need to be followed.

They will be in a much better position to advise you and point you in the right direction.

If this is not possible then I would suggest not giving up, but instead try and provide another service that people will need on the night, e.g. whistles, disposable cameras etc? get thinking hat on.

Hope this helps you out, Please let me know how it goes

Best of luck

David
